New Jersey NCLEX-PN Exam Pass Rates 2006
One of the ways to ensure you choose a good practical nursing program is to compare the passing rates on the NCLEX-PN examination for several schools you are interested in attending. A passing rate of 100% means that all students who have taken the state licensing examination that year have passed successfully. These students have obtained their nursing license along with the right to work as practical nurses in the state of New Jersey. According to the New Jersey State Board of Nursing, graduates of the licensed practical nurse program from the Monmouth County Vocational School have achieved a 100% passing rate on the NCLEX-PN exam in 2007. A total of twenty six students have challenged and passed the examination. Nursing students who completed the LPN program at the Camden County Technical School have also achieved the maximum passing rate on the state examination. Twenty three nursing graduates have taken the NCLEX-PN licensing exam in 2007 and all of them became licensed professionals in the state of New Jersey.

The New Jersey NCLEX pass rates above represent the percentage of practical nurse students which passed the NCLEX-PN examination on their first attempt. Some graduate practical nurses may choose not to take the NCLEX examination within the first twelve months following graduation and are not included in these statistics. This four-semester program requires a total of 59 credits and it combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical practice. In 2007 all 43 students who graduated from the practical nurse program have become licensed, achieving a 100% passing rate on the NCLEX-PN exam. The same outstanding results have been achieved by nursing graduates from Somerset County Technical Institute. Thirty eight (38) practical nursing students challenged the state examination and successfully passed, obtaining the maximum 100% pass rate. Somerset County Technical Institute is well known for its practical nursing program. Students may attend full-time and graduate in one year or part-time and complete the LPN curriculum in two years.
